Privacy Policy

1. What we collect

  • Account info: name, email, password (hashed, never stored in plain text)
  • Profile info: headline, summary, skills, languages, experience, education, resume file
  • Employer info: company name, website, industry, job postings
  • Usage data: applications, saved jobs, credits/transaction history
  • Technical data: IP address (used only for rate-limiting abuse, not tracking)

2. How we use it

We use your data to operate the Platform: showing your profile to employers (candidates), showing job posts to candidates (employers), matching recommendations, sending transactional emails (welcome, application updates, moderation results), and preventing abuse. We do not sell your personal data to third parties.

3. Who can see your data

Candidate profiles marked complete are publicly visible in the Talent directory and to employers you apply to. Your resume is only accessible to employers you apply to or who unlock it, plus BNT administrators for moderation and support. Employer company profiles and job posts are public once approved.

4. Where your data lives

Data is stored on our self-hosted Appwrite instance and application servers. Transactional emails are sent via our mail infrastructure. We do not use third-party ad-tracking or analytics that profile you across other sites.

5. Your rights

You can edit or delete most of your profile data directly from your account. To request a full export or deletion of your account and associated data, contact us — we will process the request within a reasonable timeframe, subject to any legal retention requirements (e.g. transaction records for accounting).

6. Payments

During our early access phase, payments are handled manually outside the Platform (bank transfer, PayPal, etc.) — we do not process or store card details ourselves. Transaction references you provide to our team (e.g. invoice numbers) are kept for bookkeeping.

7. Cookies

We use only essential cookies/local storage required for authentication (keeping you logged in). We do not use third-party advertising cookies.

8. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy as the Platform evolves. Material changes will be posted here with an updated date.
